About the role

Step into a leadership role that shapes the future of teaching in NSW. As the Lead Teacher Attraction Projects you will guide a dynamic team of marketing specialists within the broader Teacher Attraction Initiatives teams promoting opportunities that inspire future teachers to join the profession and support current teachers to grow and thrive in their careers.

At the heart of this role is the responsibility to champion and communicate the Teacher Value Proposition (TVP) of the NSW Department of Education. Youll deliver results that exceed customer expectations drive continuous improvement across programs and improve processes to ensure exceptional service delivery.

Working closely with the Manager Teacher Attraction Projects youll lead the development and delivery of strategic communications as well as marketing and content initiatives to showcase teacher attraction programs and/or projects across owned and earned platforms and channels.

About you

You are a communication professional who:

  • Can confidently support the delivery of teacher attraction initiatives across key owned channels including website CRM EDM SMS and specialist technologies engaging target audiences while upholding NSW Government and Education brand requirements.
  • Crafts clear compelling and inclusive messages and materials that inspire action
  • Brings a strong track record in organising supervising and motivating teams to maximise resources and deliver outstanding outcomes.
  • Is skilled in preparing program/project documentation and developing program/project plans to set clear timeframes funding and procedures.
  • Balances competing priorities managing stakeholder expectations and delivering results in high-pressure time-sensitive environments.
  • Champions a culture of a continuous-learning culture encouraging innovation and team input and supporting professional learning opportunities.

Key knowledge and experience

Essential requirements of the role

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and equivalent experience in Communications Marketing Education Public Relations or a related discipline.
  • Hold a valid drivers licence (provisional or above) with the willingness and ability to undertake interstate and intrastate travel to meet delivery requirements of projects.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
