Licensed Practical Nurse Travel Assignment
Location: Across NM State
Type: Travel / Contract
Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Travel LPN to deliver nursing support across diverse healthcare settings throughout New Mexico. Assignments may include SNF LTC acute-care units rehab centers and primary care or specialty clinics. Ideal candidates show adaptability clinical competence and strong patient advocacy.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide routine and skilled nursing care under RN/physician supervision
- Record and update vital signs assessments and patient progress
- Administer approved medications and therapeutic treatments
- Support wound care protocols and specimen collection
- Assist patients with ADLs mobility and general comfort
- Document all care activities within EMR systems accurately
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams and families
- Follow regulatory and facility-specific safety practices
- Travel statewide in response to facility staffing needs
Required Qualifications
- Valid NM LPN license (or able to obtain before start)
- At least 1 year of recent LPN experience in relevant clinical settings
- Current AHA BLS certification
- Comfort using EMR platforms and adapting quickly to new systems
- Strong communication accountability and clinical reasoning skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior travel or float pool background
- Experience working in multiple care environments
- Ability to work independently and manage rotating assignments
- Spanish language skills beneficial
