The Social Worker is responsible for the implementation of Social Services programs for the resident under the direction of the Director of Social Services. This includes advocating for the residents of Trinity Homes being available for support counseling (staff residents and residents families) and information for staff residents and families as well as the general community. This includes meeting state and federal regulations that long term care facilities follow and upholding the ethical and moral standards set by the National Association of Social Workers and the North Dakota Board of Social Work Examiners. Providing assessments goals and approaches for helping the residents attain or maintain the highest practicable level of physical emotional and psycho-social functions. This includes effective communication functioning as part of an interdisciplinary team and a role model for staff.
Licenses and Certifications Required
- Licensed Social Worker in the State of ND (unrestricted licensed to work with all age groups and populations) or eligible for licensure in the State of ND
Educational Requirements
- BSW from an Accredited Program
Experience Requirements
- Preferred gerontology minor of course work
