Job Summary

As the Senior Analyst for spacecraft demise you will lead all analysis efforts supporting space vehicle end-of-life atmospheric re-entry. This involves consuming design details material properties and mission parameters from relevant teams and then evaluating predicted vehicle breakup characteristics through addition as the single-threaded process owner you will be responsible for defining the work instruction for analysis standardization.
Key job responsibilities
- Develop and standard advanced analysis processes templates and guidelines
- Perform technical analysis to verify compliance to demise/re-entry related requirements
- Provide design feedback to engineering teams
- Participate in relevant design reviews
- Bachelors degree
- Formal education in aerospace engineering mechanical engineering materials science physics or similar.
- Experience in hypersonics orbital/suborbital re-entry or space vehicle demise physics
- Experience with DRAMA ORSAT SCARAB or similar software
- Masters degree/PhD in aerospace engineering mechanical engineering materials science physics or similar.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
