As Head of International PR you will partner with our global PR leadership team to architect and execute breakthrough PR campaigns that resonate across diverse markets and cultures. Youll build and lead high-performing teams across 10 markets driving strategy for our diverse theatrical slate - from tentpole blockbusters and franchises to original fare. This is a role for a strategic thinker who understands both the nuances of local markets and the power of global storytelling.
Key job responsibilities
* Design and implement innovative 360-degree PR campaigns for theatrical releases across Latin America Australia New Zealand and APAC.
* Lead and mentor in-market teams and agency partners across multiple territories
* Drive corporate storytelling initiatives for Amazon MGM Studios international theatrical distribution
* Develop and execute strategic media campaigns that engage key journalists entertainment and trade press while building and maintaining relationships with influential media stakeholders
* Manage crisis communications and issues management
* Oversee campaign budgets and resource allocation
* Collaborate with global marketing and distribution teams to create integrated release strategies
*Lead and execute international festival strategy ensuring optimal positioning media coverage and audience engagement
*Develop tailored messaging and strategic communications plans for each region ensuring alignment with local market dynamics and global campaign objectives
*Direct and execute strategic global awards PR campaigns collaborating with cross-functional marketing partners on messaging and priorities
About the team
Youll be joining a dynamic global team at the forefront of Amazon MGM Studios theatrical expansion where your expertise will be integral to orchestrating PR campaigns across multiple territories. Working in close partnership with our global PR distribution and marketing executives youll participate in regular strategic planning sessions with cross-functional partners ensuring PR initiatives align with global marketing objectives while maintaining cultural authenticity in each territory. - 10 years of recent professional communications public relations or public affairs experience
- Bachelors degree
- 10 years of recent experience in an entertainment PR leadership role
- Demonstrated expertise leading and executing high-impact global PR campaigns for franchise and tentpole-level theatrical releases
- Deep understanding of global box office dynamics and international film marketplace
- Knowledge of the dynamic social media landscape with a proven track record of generating coverage via non-traditional and emerging platforms
- Experience leading teams and driving results through team members
- Experience leading stakeholder engagements and presentations with senior and international leaders
- Experience developing and executing campaigns across a multitude of timezones and languages

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $149300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $246800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
