Job Summary

TITLE I PART C EDUCATION PROGRAM SECRETARY(Title 1C)ADDENDUM

This is an Addendum to the Department Secretary Job Description specific to this position. The Department Secretary Job Description also applies to this position except to the extent the information set forth in this Addendum is directly contrary to the Department Secretary Job Description.

Experience Desired:

  1. Associates Degree
  2. Data Entry Experience

Additional Performance Responsibilities and Job Tasks:

  1. Maintain knowledge of current T1C federal regulatory guidance requirements and Nebraska T1C standards.
  2. Maintain communication with the schools and families to ensure accuracy of data.
  3. Enter and update data into MIS2000 (T1C database).
  4. Create and maintain spreadsheets and reports for T1C staff.
  5. Answer and make phone calls as requested by Director and/or Coordinator.
  6. Track student assessment results for supplemental educational services to migrant students.
  7. Assist in the coordination of meetings events and travel.
  8. Process purchases purchase orders and payment for T1C materials.
  9. Process Travel forms for T1C Staff.
  10. Maintain supply inventories and distribute to T1C staff as needed.
  11. Maintain confidentiality of information concerning T1C staff students and families.
  12. Promote and attend local state and national T1C sponsored events and trainings.
  13. Complete routine paperwork.
  14. Adhere to all ESU 7 policies procedures and supervisory directives.

REQUIRED RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOB TASKS:

  1. Interacting with ComputersUsing computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to set up functions enter data or process information. This includes: computers to enter access or retrieve data and using word processing spreadsheet and desktop publishing software.
  2. Communicating with Supervisors or PeersProviding information to supervisors and co-workers by telephone in written form e-mail or in person.
  3. Performing Clerical ActivitiesPerforming day-to-day clerical tasks such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork. This includes: filling out forms and purchase requisitions maintaining digital calendars processing invoices routing multi-line telephone calls and typing correspondence.

  5. Documenting/Recording InformationEntering recording storing or maintaining information in written or electronic form. This includes: entering time sheet information performing typing or data entry preparing meeting materials and taking messages.
