About the Role
Wanyarra is a 20-bed adult Mental Health Inpatient Unit providing acute recovery-focused care as part of GV Healths contemporary mental health redevelopment. Our unit is known for its strong SafeWards culture collaborative multidisciplinary practice and commitment to evidence-based therapeutic engagement.
We are seeking an experiencedRegistered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN3)to lead and coordinate our structured activities and therapeutic engagement this role you will design implement and evaluate a diverse range of psychosocial recreational and recovery-oriented groups tailored to the needs of consumers admitted to Wanyarra. You will work closely with nursing allied health and lived-experience staff to promote participation build routine and enhance consumer wellbeing through meaningful activity.

This is a newly established position dedicated exclusively to improving therapeutic engagement across the unit. The Activities Nurse Coordinator will have autonomy to innovate trial new approaches and shape the model of care in partnership with the broader team. The role offers ongoing professional development opportunities to collaborate with specialist programs across Mental Health & Wellbeing and the capacity to influence service culture in a growing contemporary unit.
