Job Overview
IIQAF Group is hiring a highly organized and detail-oriented Event Coordinator to join our hospitality operations team in Sydney. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning coordinating and executing events while ensuring exceptional guest experiences on-time delivery and cost-effective event management.
This role is ideal for professionals experienced in hospitality event planning venue coordination vendor management and client communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan organize and coordinate corporate events hospitality events conferences and social functions
- Liaise with clients vendors venues suppliers and internal teams
- Manage event timelines schedules budgets and logistics
- Coordinate catering décor audio-visual setup seating arrangements and event layouts
- Ensure compliance with health safety and hospitality regulations
- Conduct pre-event briefings and post-event evaluations
- Resolve on-site issues professionally to ensure smooth event execution
- Maintain accurate event documentation invoices and reports
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Event Coordinator / Event Planner / Events Executive
- Background in hospitality hotels resorts or event management companies
- Strong organizational time management and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and client-handling abilities
- Experience with vendor negotiation and budget control
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and events
- Proficiency in MS Office and event management tools
- Knowledge of Sydney hospitality venues is an advantage
