Job Summary
Job Title: Locum Physician - Hospitalist (Pediatric) in Grass Valley CA
We are seeking a dedicated Pediatric Hospitalist for a locum position at a family birth center located in the picturesque Grass Valley California. This facility offers a comprehensive range of maternity care including labor and delivery nursery services and emergency department consultations. Join a supportive team that includes L&D nurses OB/Gyn Anesthesiologists ED Physicians Hospitalists and Tele-Intensivists and make a meaningful impact in the lives of families in this beautiful community.
Job Responsibilities:
- Round daily on newborns
- Provide coverage for any newborn/delivery needs
- Perform ED consultations and admit patients from the ED to inpatient settings (rare)
- Conduct neonatal resuscitations and applicable procedures
- Assist with pediatric resuscitations in the ED and for admitted pediatric patients
- Manage venous access airway management and other necessary procedures
- Collaborate with support staff including nurses and other physicians
Qualifications:
- Board Certification or Board Eligible within the last 5 years
- Active State License
- DEA Certification (required during credentialing)
- Malpractice coverage (highly preferred)
- Availability for specific dates
License and Certification Requirements:
- Board Certification or Board Eligible status
- Active State Medical License
- DEA Certification
