This on-site contract position offers an excellent opportunity to provide high-quality pediatric care in a supportive medical practice environment.
As a Locum Pediatrician you will play a crucial role in delivering compassionate and comprehensive healthcare services to children. This position is ideal for those looking to gain diverse experience while contributing to the well-being of young patients.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough examinations and assessments of pediatric patients
- Diagnose and treat various medical conditions affecting children
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding health concerns
- Provide preventive care and health education to patients
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
- Stay updated with advancements in pediatric medicine and best practices
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of Florida
- Experience in pediatric care (preferred for locum positions)
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of pediatric medicine
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and education
Schedule: 7a-5p 7a-7p or 5p-7a
No call requirement
26-bed PICU
Patient Volume: 16 per day
Required Procedures: Standard ICU procedures and ECMO
Team Structure: 2 MDs during the day 1 MD at night APPs
Must be board-certified
