Description
This contract position is an on-site role that offers a unique opportunity to provide exceptional pediatric care in a supportive and collaborative environment.
As a Locum Pediatrician you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality healthcare to children in our community. You will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care addressing both routine and complex pediatric health issues. This role is crucial in maintaining our commitment to patient-centered care and enhancing the overall health of our young patients.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical care to pediatric patients
- Perform routine check-ups and preventive care
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses
- Administer vaccinations and other preventive measures
- Collaborate with parents and caregivers to ensure health education
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
- Stay updated on the latest pediatric medical practices and guidelines
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Valid medical license to practice in the state
- Experience in pediatric medicine (Associate level)
- Strong clinical skills and a compassionate approach to patient care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to continuous professional development
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems is a plus
Schedule: 24-hour beeper call 7a-7a
Setting: Inpatient only 8-bed Level I Nursery
Patient Volume: 1.5 per day 30 per month
Duties: Newborn care
Required Procedures:Circumcision and PALS
Support Staff:Lab tech X-ray tech and RN
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
