About the Role:
Are you a technically minded librarian/archivist interested in the history of infrastructure in Western Washington This position is an opportunity to work on a fun and collaborative team who is dedicated to water quality process improvement and producing quality designs to improve the Wastewater Treatment Divisions (WTD) Conveyance and Treatment Systems.

We are looking for a librarian/archivist who can manageEngineering and Technical Resources (ETR) content in the Engineering Content Management System (ECMS) which includes cataloging project records and deliverables including engineering design drawings record drawings specifications reports operations and maintenance manuals etc.; transferring record drawings into the ECMS database for operations incorporation into master drawings; managing ETRsdatabase and providing customer support to internal and external requests for engineering drawings. This role will help ensure WTD has accurate records of built addition this role would work closely with our Plant Engineering staff who maintain all Master/Facility Drawings.

This position follows a hybrid work model blending remote and in-person work.

About the Team:
The King County Wastewater Treatment Division is responsible for centralized wastewater treatment for all of King County and conveying sewage from Cities and Sewer Districts in King County to our regional treatment plants. This position will be in our Engineering and Technical Resources Unit who are a fun and talented group of engineers technical professionals and designers who work to accomplish our Capital Improvement Program. This position will also collaborate with our Plant Engineering staff who maintain our Masters/ Facility Drawings.

Job Duties

What YouWillBe Doing:

Serve as the Manager of the Engineering and Technical Resources digital engineering project collection stored in ECMS.
Provide assistance to internal and external customers researching engineering records.
Join the team of Administrators that develop policies and procedures for the ECMS an on-line document management system that holds about 100000individual records which consist of design contract and facility drawings documenting various types of wastewater infrastructure.
Ensure that project records comply with King County Records Management Policies.
Work collaboratively with Engineers and Designers to manage engineering records.

Experience Qualifications Knowledge Skills

Qualifications You Bring:

Degree in Library and Information Science or demonstrated equivalent level of experience.
Working knowledge of an Electronic Content Management System

Working Conditions:

Work Details:The Engineering team works in a hybrid model with days in the office as well as telecommuting.The ratio of remote to onsite work will be dependent on the business needs and is subject to change.The primary onsite location is the collaboration space at King Street Center - 201 S. Jackson St Seattle WA 98104additional onsite locations may include: West Point Treatment Plant 1400 Discovery Park Blvd. Seattle South Treatment Plant 1200 Monster Road S.W. Renton Brightwater Treatment Plant 22505 State Route 9 S.E. Woodinville.
Requirement:Employees must reside in Washington State and be within a reasonable distance to King County worksites to meet onsite reporting requirements. King County has a robust collection of tools and resources to support working remotely. The individual selected for this opportunity will join an innovative and progressive team that is redefining how we work as we transition to the departments hybrid environment. Employees will be provided with a County-issued laptop and must maintain a home workspace with an internet connection where they can reliably perform work and remain available and responsive during scheduled work hours.
Work Schedule:This position is covered under the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and is overtime eligible.
Union Representation:This position is represented by Technical Employees Association (TEA) bargaining unit.
