The Opportunity

  • Employment: Full-time (35 hrs week) 12-month fixed term contact (possible extension)
  • Remuneration: $113926-$% super leave loading
  • Locations: UTS UNSW and Liverpool.

Maridulu Budyari Gumal the Sydney Partnership for Health Education Research and Enterprise (SPHERE) is a collaborative entity bringing together 15 leading organisations with a shared goal: to change the future of healthcare.

Reporting to the Operations Manager and working closely with the Executive Director of SPHERE you will play a key role in providing high-level project coordination and stakeholder engagement across the NHMRC Research Translation Centre grant. You will contribute to establishing the foundational frameworks and systems that will underpin success including:

  • Leading the establishment and monitoring of projects and initiatives that deliver on strategic and operational priorities.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships across universities Local Health Districts government industry and other partnersproactively identifying skills and expertise that align with the Centres objectives
  • Develop and maintain effective project and procedural documentation ensuring alignment and compliance with UNSW policies external funding requirements and reporting obligations
  • Prepare draft materials that communicate research and project findings such as evaluation summaries briefing notes reports and presentationsto support understanding and use by stakeholders.
  • Supporting the design and implementation of training and capability-building programs in collaboration with key health partners.
  • Providing comprehensive reporting analytical and governance support including preparation of papers briefs and presentations.
  • Coordinating stakeholder engagement activities across culturally diverse and multidisciplinary settings.
  • Oversee project planning scheduling risk management and progress tracking ensuring milestones are delivered within scope timeframe and budget.

Who you are

You have a relevant tertiary qualification and experience in project or program management ideally within health medical research or research translation. You are skilled in developing conceptual high-level frameworks to support decision-making and have a solid understanding of the translational research environment. You have a proven track record in managing complex multi-stakeholder projects ensuring timely delivery and measurable outcomes.

You demonstrate excellent time management effectively handling shifting priorities multiple tasks and competing deadlines using sound judgment and initiative. You work collaboratively within teams while also being confident operating independently when required. Your written and verbal communication skills are strong with exceptional attention to detail.

You are proficient in Microsoft 365 SharePoint Teams and project management systems. You understand and uphold organisational values policies and guidelines and you are committed to meeting psychosocial and physical health and safety responsibilities including participating in relevant training.
