Role description:

Step into a pivotal role with Arcadis Canada East Planning Practice where youll have the chance to make a lasting impact on the vibrant Waterloo Region! Were on the lookout for a dynamic Senior Urban Planner with at least 8 years of progressive development experience in Ontario who thrives tackling diverse public and private sector projects.

Role accountabilities:

  • Lead and Innovate:Take charge of planning-related projects as the lead planner/project manager driving success and innovation.
  • Collaborate Across Disciplines:Work seamlessly with other experts bringing diverse perspectives to the table.
  • Inspire and Mentor:Oversee and guide planning staff fostering professional growth and creating a supportive trust-based environment.
  • Craft Compelling Narratives:Prepare and oversee Planning Justification Urban Design Reports and other essential planning documents infusing creativity into research and submissions.
  • Empower the Team:Mentor junior staff cultivating a collaborative and inspiring team atmosphere.
  • Champion Business Development:Leverage and grow your connections in the planning and land development sectors to unlock exciting new opportunities.
  • Stand Out with Expertise:Experience in supporting or providing direct evidence to the Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT) will be a valuable asset.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Educational Excellence:A Planning degree from an accredited university or equivalent with at least 8 years of progressive development planning experience.
  • Professional Recognition:Provisional or Full Membership with OPPI/CIP.
  • Communication Prowess:Exceptional verbal written and presentation skills to articulate your vision effectively.
  • Project Management Savvy:Strong understanding of project and financial management to drive success.
  • Tech-Savvy:Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other planning-related software and programs.

The salary range for this position is $78000 - $117000. The base salary represents Arcadis hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors such as location skills experience and qualification for the role.
