Qualifications:

Candidates must hold a PhD in Economics. ABD applicants will considered if the degree will be completed by August 2026.

The candidate should demonstrate the ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses effectively and maintain an active research agenda. Candidates must also show the ability to work with diverse populations and foster an inclusive supportive learning environment. Ideal applicants will bring professional work experience from the business sector with preference given to candidates with experience in or exposure to the health care industry along with prior university-level teaching experience and evidence of excellence in pedagogy and curriculum development. A record of scholarly publications conference presentations or funded research projects is strongly valued. Additional strengths include an interest in interdisciplinary collaboration and engagement with professional associations in economics or related fields. Candidates who integrate innovative teaching methodsincluding technology-enhanced and experiential approachesand who demonstrate a commitment to advancing the mission of Thomas Jefferson University by blending academic rigor with real-world application particularly in health carerelated contexts will be especially competitive.
