Job Summary

Senior Technical Instructor / Technical Instructor (Chinese Medicine) ()
The appointee is expected to (a) provide teaching assistance to the undergraduate Chinese Medicine (CM) courses such as Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) basics CM classics and CM clinical courses etc.; (b) organise seminars teaching activities voluntary services and visits; (c) coordinate internship different teaching activities and assessment exercises for major GE and elective courses offered by the Division; (d) support lab management of CM courses and funding projects; (e) be responsible in undergraduate recruitment and promotion exercise to public and high schools (includes giving public talks and seminars) and organise various promotion activities; and (f) perform other duties as assigned. Occasional duties in evenings and weekends may be required. The ideal candidate should be a self-starter and team player with a keen interest in working with people of different cultural backgrounds. Candidates with more experience may be considered for the appointment of Senior Technical Instructor.
Applicants should possess a bachelors degree in Chinese Medicine. Applicants with higher level of academic qualifications and experience in CM classics research or/and a pass in the Chinese Medicine Practitioners Licensing Examination recognised by the Chinese Medicine Council of Hong Kong will be an advantage. The appointee should have an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua) as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills.
The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of one to two -appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.
Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
