Overview:


Monday- Friday 8-hour shifts between the hours of 7am- 5pm. No on-call No holidays No weekends. Must have dependable transportation.

Assists the Orthopedic Physicians in the examination treatment and follow-up care of patients with orthopedic conditions.


Job Description:


Essential Functions:

  • Prepares patients for orthopedic procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort during the procedure.
  • Applies and removes casts splints and braces as directed by the physician.
  • Assists physicians in the reduction of fractures and dislocations.
  • Orders and maintains inventory of orthopedic supplies and equipment.
  • Cleans and sterilizes equipment and instruments to ensure patient safety.
  • Maintains accurate patient records and ensures that they are up-to-date.

Education Requirement:

High School Diploma or equivalent required.


Licensure Requirement:

Certifications:

Certification from a Medical Assisting Program STNA or equivalent preferred.


Skills:

Excellent customer service interpersonal andcommunication skills.


Experience:

  • One year previous healthcare experience preferred.
  • Experience as Orthopedic Cast Tech Suture Tech or EMT preferred.
