Salary Range: $38.46/hour to $55.28/hour
Responsibilities:
- Perform advanced inspection troubleshooting repair and overhaul of aerospace components assemblies and systems in accordance with FAA EASA and OEM standards.
- Lead complex repair tasks involving mechanical hydraulic pneumatic and structural systems.
- Interpret technical manuals engineering drawings service bulletins and airworthiness directives with expert accuracy.
- Conduct root-cause analysis on component failures and collaborate with engineering teams to drive corrective actions.
- Operate precision tools test equipment calibration devices and specialized machinery.
- Document all work performed in accordance with regulatory requirements and company procedures.
- Mentor and guide junior technicians offering technical training and skill development.
- Ensure all repairs meet safety quality and compliance expectations.
- Support continuous improvement projects and recommend process enhancements.
- Communicate repair status timelines and issues to supervisors and cross-functional team
Qualifications:
- 10 years of aerospace maintenance repair or overhaul experience preferably in an MRO or manufacturing environment required.
- Prior experience in a senior or lead technician role preferred.
- Military aviation maintenance background preferred.
- Extensive hands-on expertise with complex components (e.g. actuators landing gear control surfaces avionics enclosures engine subcomponentsadjust as needed) required.
- Strong understanding of FAA Part 145 requirements or equivalent regulatory frameworks.
- Proficiency with precision tools testing instruments and calibration processes.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering documents with exceptional accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to lead train and mentor technical teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to quality and safety.
- High attention to detail and ability to work under minimal supervision.
- A&P License or equivalent certification preferred.
- Experience working with OEM-approved repair data preferred.
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma or continuous improvement methodologies preferred.
