Safety Coordinator- WHS

We have an exciting opportunity within the Safety department of ALDI Stores based in Brendale. This is a permanent full-time role.

This role is integral to the efficient operation of the ALDI Safety Department. You will promote and drive a positive safety culture by supporting operational teams in managing health and safety risks within our Store Operations.

What does the role look like

• Provide technical guidance and advice on health and safety matters by interpreting legislative requirements.
• Conduct risk assessments incident investigations periodic audits and site visits and develop Safe Work Procedures (SWPs) as directed.
• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders through consultation training and development.
• Respond to WHS incidents for the region and actively manage your area of responsibility within the team by using initiative and suggesting ways of improving systems for greater efficiency.
• Assist in the maintenance and periodic review of the WHS Management system Safety Online and the Contractor Management System.
• Analyse and report on safety data to monitor and review performance against WHS KPIs and targets
• Assist with injury management activities if required.

Qualifications :

• Demonstrated WHS experience in a retail or multi-site role with detailed knowledge of WHS requirements legislation and best practice.
• Team player with a solutions-focused approach and ability to collaborate and build rapport with internal and external stakeholders.
• Open communication style with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills attention to detail and ability to work under pressure and with direction.
• Relevant WHS qualifications (Certificate IV in WHS preferred).
• Injury management experience or a willingness to learn highly regarded.

Remuneration

• Transparent tiered salary range of $118 200 - $140 900 including Superannuation.
