SGS is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking LIMS Manager to lead the national implementation optimisation and ongoing management of our Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) across Environmental laboratories. Based at one of our major laboratory sites in Sydney Melbourne or Perth you will oversee the national LIMS function manage system enhancement projects and lead a skilled team of LIMS specialists. Youll work closely with laboratory managers IT and external partners to deliver a robust compliant and future-ready LIMS platform that supports business objectives drives operational excellence and ensures data integrity across all laboratory operations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead & Mentor: Manage the national LIMS team set priorities and build a high-performing collaborative culture.
- Own the LIMS Strategy: Drive the implementation of systems enhancements improve performance and ensure strong governance data integrity and business continuity.
- Integrate & Optimise: Oversee system configuration customisation and integrations with internal systems client platforms instruments robotics and digital tools.
- Be the Key Connector: Act as the main liaison across labs IT suppliers and senior leadersensuring smooth communication project delivery and issue resolution.
- Champion Compliance & Quality: Ensure LIMS meets ISO 17025 NATA and internal quality standards; run audits and health checks.
- Drive Improvement & Innovation: Identify automation opportunities streamline workflows enhance reporting and support the adoption of new technologies.
- Monitor & Analyse: Track system performance troubleshoot issues and develop advanced analytics and reporting tools to support smarter decision-making.

You are a strategic technical leader with a strong background in laboratory systems and a passion for innovation. You thrive in complex environments enjoy partnering with stakeholders and bring a structured solution-focused approach to system management.
You will bring:
- 57 years experience in LIMS management or similar laboratory/IT systems roles.
- Proven success in leading LIMS implementation and enhancement projects.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory workflows and data management principles.
- Advanced skills in LIMS platforms MS SQL Server Management and programming tools (VBS or similar).
- Excellent communication project management and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
- Ability to lead through ambiguity and drive continuous improvement.
