Whats the role

This is an exceptional opportunity to step into a pivotal role at the heart of BTs leadership team. As Business Manager to the CEO you will act as a trusted advisor and strategic partner enabling the CEO to focus on high-impact priorities while driving alignment across the organisation. You will lead initiatives that bridge strategy and execution ensuring seamless collaboration across business units and delivering outcomes that shape the future of our business.

Key areas of responsibility include:

• Strategic and cultural alignment
• Governance and risk oversight
• Leadership team enablement
• Project and change leadership
• AI and digital transformation

This role is critical to forward planning ensuring milestones are achieved and strategic objectives are met. You will provide insights into the business plan monitor execution and offer informed recommendations to the CEO based on a deep understanding of organisational priorities.

Location: Full-time Sydney-based (due to the nature of the role candidates must reside in Sydney).

What do I need

The ideal candidate will have a strong consulting or strategy background with the ability to interpret complex wealth and regulatory concepts. A solid understanding of wealth/superannuation is key for this role alongside exceptional communication skills both written and verbal for senior stakeholders.

Additional key areas include:

• Operational Governance Expertise such as familiarity with FAR CPS230 and APRA standards for operational.
• Advanced skills in AI prompting reviewing outputs and implementing agentic workflows.
• Proven ability to lead cross-business initiatives and manage senior stakeholders.
• Skilled in prioritization multitasking and delivering under pressure.
• High resilience accuracy and commitment to excellence.
• A strong strategic perspective being able to see the big picture external market environment.
• Confidence to use judgement wisely making recommendations both for the CEO and on behalf of the CEO where appropriate.
