Position Summary

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) Home and Community provides personalized support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This includes helping with daily tasks community engagement transportation and recreational activities. Compassion dependability and strong interpersonal skills are key to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Support individuals in achieving lives of personal significance

• Assist with personal care tasks (e.g. bathing food prep laundry)

• Administer and document medications

• Promote independence through daily living and money management skills

• Transport and accompany individuals to community events and appointments

• Communicate and document observations concerns and successes

• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• No prior experience required paid training provided

• Strong communication organizational and interpersonal skills

• Must meet PA Act 33/34 and FBI clearance requirements

• Valid Pennsylvania drivers license and properly insured personal vehicle required

• Ability to perform one-person physical transfers essential
