About the Role:
We are looking for experienced and result-driven Solar Sales & Solar C&I professionals to lead business development activities in Zambia Zimbabwe and Namibia. The ideal candidate must have strong knowledge of the regional solar market hands-on experience in C&I sales and a proven ability to close high-value solar projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify develop and manage business opportunities in the Solar C&I segment across the assigned country.
Handle the complete sales lifecycle including lead generation client meetings proposal submission commercial negotiations and deal closure.
Build and maintain strong relationships with EPC partners consultants commercial and industrial clients and government institutions where applicable.
Conduct site studies load analysis and understand client energy consumption patterns to craft appropriate solar solutions.
Coordinate with internal engineering design and project teams to deliver technically accurate and competitive proposals.
Monitor regional solar market trends competitor offerings pricing insights and policy updates.
Achieve defined sales targets and contribute to expanding the companys footprint in the region.
Prepare periodic sales reports sales forecasts and project updates for management review.
Ensure exceptional customer service and ongoing relationship management post-sales.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in Solar Sales or Solar C&I projects.
Strong understanding of solar PV solutions (Rooftop Ground-mounted Battery Storage Hybrid Systems).
Proven track record of closing medium to large-scale solar projects in the region.
Excellent communication client engagement negotiation and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple client portfolios.
Strong analytical skills market awareness and commercial understanding.
Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned country for client interactions and site visits.
Preferred Background:
Experience with EPCs solar developers engineering firms or renewable energy organizations.
Technical understanding of PV design basics inverters hybrid systems load audits and financial feasibility calculations (IRR ROI).
Pre-existing network with commercial industrial mining institutional or utility clients.
