Pump Fitter l Full Time
Opportunity:

About the Role:
- Interpret engineering drawings blueprints and specifications to determine job requirements.
- Fit assemble and install machinery and equipment including pumps motors conveyors and other mechanical components.
- Conduct routine maintenance troubleshooting and repairs on mechanical systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Perform all work in compliance with safety standards company policies and relevant regulations.
- Identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions to maintain a safe working environment.
- Work closely with team members and other trades to achieve project goals and meet deadlines.
- Report progress issues and equipment status to supervisors and relevant stakeholders promptly.
Experience:
- Certificate III in Engineering Mechanical Trade (Fitting and Machining or Diesel Fitting)
- White Card (Construction Induction Safety Certificate)
- Current Australian Drivers Licence (manual preferred)
- Valid High Risk Work Licence (desirable)
- Forklift and/or EWP Licence (advantageous)
- Confined Space and Working at Heights (preferred but not essential)
- 25 years experience in mechanical fitting specifically with pump systems and dewatering equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude in:
- Pump maintenance overhauls and repairs (submersible centrifugal diaphragm etc.)
- Diagnosing faults and conducting preventative maintenance
- Pipework installations and fluid transfer systems
- Experience in mining civil or industrial environments preferred
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical manuals
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems is a plus
- Safety-focused with strong understanding of WHS procedures and regulations
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively under minimal supervision
Benefits: Full Time Position Available
38 hours/week Monday to Friday 40 hour week.
