Governance Clerk Part Time Hybrid
We are looking for a second- or third-year law student to join our growing governance team. This role sits at the heart of our work supporting not-for-profit organisations with their regulatory reporting governance practices policies and compliance frameworks. It is designed to give law students hands-on exposure to the regulatory environment governing Australias charity and NFP sector.
Commencing early January this is a three-day-per-week position structured to complement your university timetable while offering meaningful client-facing experience with organisations creating real impact in their communities.
Your key duties will include:
- Drafting policies and governance documents
- Preparing regulatory reports and filings including with state-based regulators ASIC and the ACNC
- Assisting with applications for fundraising licences DGR status and other key registrations
- Supporting insurance and risk-related projects
- Drafting board papers summaries and guidance pieces
- Maintaining and updating compliance registers
- Contributing to ad-hoc projects across clients governance frameworks
This role is designed as a fulsome training pathway for law students who want to broaden their skill set. You will develop practical experience in governance regulatory compliance and stakeholder management supported by a collaborative team committed to your growth. You will also have opportunities to contribute to client-facing work as your capability develops.
