Job Title:PDG B-5 Integration Specialist (MA4) Olympia
Location: Olympia WA - Full-time/Hybrid
Closes: December 21 2025
Salary:$69744 - $93804 Annually
Note:This is a Project position with a limited duration appointment; the expected duration is the date of hire through September 29th 2026.

The Integration Specialist for the Preschool Development Grant (PDG) B-5 Renewal grant supports the coordination collaboration and continuous quality improvement of the projects funded by the grant that are housed across DCYF and in partnership with community organizations and other state agencies. This position will manage complex issues and maintain cooperative relationships with partners while promoting an inclusion mindset and equity focus. Through skilled facilitation this position will also support the implementation of Washingtons Statewide Early Learning Strategic Plan by developing a process to inform connect analyze and report on the status of each goal and strategy laid out in plan.

Work will be mostly remote with occasional in-person meetings within a small PDG Operations team in-person Early Learning Coordination Plan (ELCP) convening virtual PDG collaborations PDG program activities grant recipients and DCYFs ELCP grantee activities.

Some of what youll get to do:
Supports the continuous quality improvement of PDG Projects through coordination and collaboration with project activities based on data collection and analysis including:
  • Collecting complex data analyzing and developing recommendations.
  • Organizing training and leading project staff on grant requirements and coordinates quality improvement activities.
  • Monitoring and analyzing data to determine recommendations.
  • Preparing reports.
Supports the long-range Statewide Early Learning Strategic Plan including:
  • Developing and implementing a system to connect agencies and organizations across the state working on the same or similar strategies.
  • Building connections and partnerships with Tribes government entities businesses community organizations and advisory groups to develop plans for strategy implementation and goal attainment.
  • Monitoring and analyzing the implementation of the strategic plan to make recommendations.
  • Develops processes.

Required Qualifications:
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience totaling eight (8) years. Experience analyzing policies laws rules or regulations; Collect and analyze complex data; Organize train and lead project staff on grant requirements and coordinate quality improvement activities; Monitor and analyze data to determine recommendations and prepare reports. Develop and implement systems; Build connections and partnerships with Tribes government entities businesses community organizations and advisory groups to develop plans for strategy implementation and goal attainment. Monitor and analyze outcomes make recommendations and develop processes for public awareness.
OR
  • Bachelors degree in early childhood education social sciences or related field with a deep knowledge of Washingtons mixed delivery system and the partners and stakeholders that it includes AND Four (4) years of experience conducting research and analyzing policies laws rules or regulations or comparable combination of graduate education and experience.

  • The ability to take action to learn and grow.
  • The ability to take action to meet the needs of others.
In addition to those required qualifications our ideal applicant will also have some or all the following:
  • Four or more years of experience creating and delivering presentations to a variety of audiences.
  • Demonstrated expertise in building partnerships; maintaining internal and external relationships that create positive outcomes.
  • Experience in the presentation multifaceted data to diverse audiences in a clear and culturally appropriate manner.
  • Previous work experience displaying effective communication skills: conveys clear timely messages that promote integration collaboration and quality improvement both written and oral.
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing communications and outreach strategies using multiple communication channels and messengers.
  • Ability to anticipate potential issues and attempt resolutions before problems occur.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment.
