Job Title: Project Manager
Location: 2 MLK Jr. Dr. SE Atlanta GA 30334
Work Arrangement: Hybrid On-site up to 2 days per week
Position Overview
The Georgia Department of Community Health (DCH) is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the Care Management Organization (CMO) Procurement and Implementation Project for the Georgia Families program. This is a large-scale high-impact initiative that will affect millions of Georgians by improving health outcomes wellness and system efficiency.
In parallel DCH is modernizing legacy Medicaid Enterprise Systems (MES) into modular seamlessly integrated platforms. The selected Project Manager will support these efforts by managing defined project workstreams under the direction of a Senior Project Manager coordinating across multiple stakeholders and ensuring successful delivery of project objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Senior Project Manager and execute assigned project management tasks
- Manage multiple project activities on a day-to-day basis to ensure alignment with program goals
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans schedules timelines and roadmaps
- Track and report project milestones deliverables dependencies risks and issues
- Provide clear and consistent status reporting to leadership stakeholders and third parties
- Support test planning deployment coordination and implementation activities
- Coordinate with related enterprise initiatives including:
- Medicaid Enterprise Systems Transformation (MEST)
- Enterprise Data Management
- Data Governance
- Administrative Simplification
- Business Process Automation
- Identify gaps risks and areas of concern; document findings and support solution development
- Manage project scope change requests and quality control processes
- Support vendor selection and proposal evaluation activities
- Assist in developing reports presentations requirements documentation statements of work and progress updates
- Ensure projects are delivered according to scope schedule budget and quality standards
- Monitor and manage project risks and issue resolution
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification Required
- Minimum 3 years of experience managing complex project procurements and implementations
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies including:
- Agile
- Iterative
- Waterfall
- Demonstrated success delivering projects on time on schedule and within budget
- Excellent written verbal and presentation communication skills
- Strong organizational analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Flexible and adaptable to shifting priorities and timelines
- Experience managing risks issues dependencies and change control
- Technical proficiency with:
- Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook Word Excel PowerPoint Visio)
- Microsoft Project
- Project management and SDLC tools
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare Medicaid or government programs
- Experience supporting large-scale multi-stakeholder initiatives
- Knowledge of process automation and administrative simplification initiatives
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to lead across multiple business and technical teams
Education
- Bachelors degree in:
