Payroll Accountant
Position Overview
The Payroll Accountant is responsible for proactive collaboration with vendor points of contact and key Finance business partners. This role is accountable to ensure consistent timely and high-quality business outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Prepares and reconciles payroll related accounting entries.
Prepares and maintains inter-company billing for submission to accounting.
Provide the necessary reports associated with payroll to finance
Assist in the preparation and distribution of various payroll reports and analyses to customers and management
Effectively identify problems as they occur and take appropriate steps to resolve.
Coordinate any new benefit plans implementation or systems and collaborates with HRIS payroll and vendors to support Benefit Plan Designs.
Maintain strong knowledge of management systems and process flows to support vendors and payroll interfaces..
Required Knowledge/Skills and Experience:
5 years of experience in payroll accounting
Solid understanding of payroll and benefit accounting
Strong conceptual and problem-solving skills to evaluate problems and apply knowledge to identify appropriate solutions; ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently
Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and assignments with deadlines
Strong customer service orientation and ability to establish solid working relationships
Solid follow up and follow through skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office with intermediate to expert experience in Excel a must
