Description
As a Locum MD/DO you will play a crucial role in delivering urgent care services assessing patient needs diagnosing conditions and implementing treatment plans. You will collaborate with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals to ensure that all patients receive timely and effective care enhancing the overall efficiency of our urgent care operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical evaluations and treatment for urgent care patients
- Perform diagnostic procedures and interpret diagnostic tests
- Collaborate with nursing and support staff to ensure high-quality patient care
- Document patient interactions accurately and in a timely manner
- Participate in patient education and health promotion activities
- Adhere to all regulatory and compliance standards within the urgent care setting
- Manage patient flow and prioritize care based on urgency
- Stay informed about current best practices in urgent care medicine
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Active medical license in the state of New York
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in urgent care or emergency medicine
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Current certifications in BLS and ACLS
Schedule: 10a-10p
No call requirement
Will rotate shifts between three sites
Patient Population: Up to 26 years old
Additional MD seeing adult patients
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
