Position Summary
The Mid-Level GIS/Geospatial Analyst independently executes geospatial analysis manages small teams of specialists and contributes to project delivery. This role is responsible for workflow development advanced analysis and mentoring junior staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform intermediate to advanced spatial analysis and modeling using ESRI tools and extensions.
- Develop and optimize geospatial workflows for data acquisition integration and visualization.
- Manage small teams of GIS specialists assigning tasks and monitoring progress.
- Create interactive dashboards and web maps for client-facing applications.
- Ensure compliance with data standards and maintain enterprise geodatabases.
- Mentor junior analysts and provide technical guidance.
- Support proposal development and project scoping for geospatial components.
- Participate in client meetings and communicate technical results.
Required Qualifications
- BS or MS in Geospatial major or related field.
- 510 years of professional GIS experience.
- Proficiency in ESRI suite SQL and Python scripting for automation.
- Strong cartographic design and data governance knowledge.
- Ability to manage timelines and coordinate team efforts.
- Experience with QA/QC processes and metadata standards.
Preferred Certifications
- ESRI ArcGIS Desktop/Enterprise Associate or Professional
- ESRI Web Application Developer (optional)
Software Stack
- ESRI ArcGIS Pro ArcGIS Online Experience Builder ArcGIS Enterprise
- ESRI Field apps (Field Maps Survey123 Quick Capture etc.)
- ArcGIS Spatial Analyst 3D Analyst Image Analyst extensions
- SQL (SQL Server PostgreSQL/PostGIS)
- Python (ArcPy Pandas Jupyter Notebooks)
- FME (Feature Manipulation Engine) for data integration
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Basic familiarity with CAD (AutoCAD MicroStation) for integration
