Key Responsibilities
Data Entry & Record Keeping: Posting journal entries maintaining general ledger updating accounts.
Accounts Payable/Receivable (AP/AR): Processing invoices managing payments handling collections.
Reconciliation: Performing bank reconciliations and reconciling accounts.
Reporting: Assisting with balance sheets financial statements and other reports.
Compliance: Ensuring adherence to financial regulations and company policies.
Audit Support: Gathering documents and assisting senior staff during audits.
Payroll: Administering payroll and related taxes.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.
Experience: Some experience with general ledgers and AP/AR is often required.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (ERP systems).
Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail analytical ability problem-solving multitasking and confidentiality.
Reporting Structure
Works under the guidance of a Senior Accountant Accounting Manager or Finance Manager.
Work experience as an Accountant. Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Hands-on experience with accounting software like FreshBooks and QuickBooks. Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables.
