Job Summary
We are looking for a Senior - Revenue Accountant (Level 2) in Chennai. You will lead monthly close activities related to Revenue AR related journal entries and monthly Revenue reporting.
Prepare month-end journals perform month-end closing and reporting activities; manage stakeholders communications for any exceptions deviations issue resolutions.
Evaluate complex sales contracts to determine the appropriate treatment in accordance with U.S. GAAP (ASC 606) documenting managements conclusions with appropriate references to accounting codification.
Partnering with the Power BI Team to identify processes which can be automated.
Support overall business unit reporting requirements. Develop knowledge and understanding of the financial systems that are critical to the reporting process.
Prepare analysis for ad hoc requests and special projects and provide direct support to the management team.
Work closely with technical accounting Finance Legal Sales Sales Operations FP&A AR IT and various business owners on policies processes and programs to help drive key initiatives and process to resolve complex accounting problems and being a team player.
Ability to support all the audit related queries.
Collaborate with the Internal Audit team to establish and ensure compliance with SOX requirements.
Qualifications :
Knowledge & first-hand experience of billing & revenue recognition ASC 606 US GAAP is a plus.
Chartered Accountant preferred.
3 years of related experience; preferably with a background in audit or SOX/ICFR control frameworks.
Understanding of revenue recognition principles and related accounting standards (e.g. ASC 606).
Experience working on tools like NetSuite and Chargebee
SaaS company experience is a plus.
Experience working on tools like NetSuite and Chargebee
CA degree is a must (3 Years of Experience)
Strong work ethics professional attitude and reliability
