IMEG is seeking a Commissioning Project Authority to join our Commissioning team in Los Angeles this role you will manage and support a variety of building commissioning (Cx) projects working with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions for moderate to complex facilities. Youll leverage your expertise in HVAC electrical and building automation systems to ensure high-performance code-compliant buildings utilizing tools such as Cx Alloy and MS Office Suite. Principal Responsibilities
Required Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering or equivalent required
5 years of experience minimum required 6 preferred in Commissioning or in the Mechanical Electrical Plumbing (MEP) consulting industry or equivalent
Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification preferred
OR
Recognized Building Commissioning Certification preferred (or ability and desire to obtain one)
9 years of experience minimum required 10 preferred in Commissioning or in the Mechanical Electrical Plumbing (MEP) design consulting industry or equivalent
Strong oral and written skills and a proven ability to interact professionally with a wide a range of clients
Solid understanding of HVAC and electrical system designs and operations
Working knowledge of building automation and lighting control systems
Working knowledge of Cx Industry Standards (ASHRAE ACG BCxA) and code requirements
Knowledge of applicable codes and standards (CEC Title 24 ASHRAE IECC IMC NEC etc.)
Demonstrated ability to read and understand construction documents (mechanical controls plumbing and electrical drawings specifications etc.)
Proficient understanding of electrical and fire/life safety systems
Knowledge of construction industry safety practices and procedures
Troubleshooting of field devices and control hardware and software
Capable of self-performing functional testing of building MEP systems
Proficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word Excel and Outlook
Skilled with PDF editors (Bluebeam Adobe) plus additional online project management software
Ability to travel up to 30% (travel will depend on project needs and may vary widely)

State of California Salary Range: $92000.00 - $123000.00
Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience knowledge skills and abilities of the applicant.
