Job Summary

Position Description:

This is a central and dynamic position in which you will provide technical and functional support for applications used by trading and risk analysts based in New York. Strong communication and social skills along with knowledge of ITIL best practices are essential as you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining critical applications.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Youll be part of an IT feature team (Development and Support) working closely with a trading desk. You will collaborate with the development team to provide the best services to traders and help prevent or resolve major production incidents. When you start your day youll perform a morning check to ensure Production is stable before the financial markets open.
Throughout the day you will:
-Maintain the user ticket backlog using Unity
-Handle direct contacts from users for live production incidents
-Apply problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and restore application functionality
-You will be exposed to key Production Support practices and gain financial domain knowledge from experienced professionals.
-At the end of the day you will carry out an evening check to ensure Production is stable before the Asian markets open.

In addition to day-to-day support you will have the opportunity to enhance your technical expertise by contributing to automation initiatives using Elasticsearch/Kibana scripting bots Autosys and related technologies.

What does it take to get the job
-Weve learned that when the support team understands the technology our products are built with the quality of support significantly improves.

-Thats why we require team members to demonstrate a basic level of coding ability.
-To qualify for the role you must be able to write an SQL query and pass a basic coding challenge in a programming language you are familiar with.
In addition it is a plus if you have:
-5 years of experience as an application support analyst
-A bachelors degree in computer science engineering or equivalent experience
-A track record of delivering continuous improvements and automation initiatives
LANGUAGE: English French
You must be able to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing as you will collaborate regularly with colleagues and partners in the United States.
Due to U.S. Federal Securities regulations applying to this position candidates will be required to undergo enhanced background screening including fingerprint collection by a third-party vendor designated by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).
