Job Summary

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

This maintenance tech is responsible for assisting in preventive maintenance reporting documentation of the hospital in order to provide a safe clean and comfortable environment for patients staff and visitors. There is no remote option for this position.

REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum of one year of experience in building mechanical equipment.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Some college education preferred
Ability to read write and follow safety directions as required.
Painting and minor maintenance work experience preferred.
Proficient in MS Office applications (Outlook Word Excel and PowerPoint)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Makes minor mechanical electrical and plumbing and painting repairs as requested
Maintenance and beautification of facility and grounds.
Conducts scheduled inspections and maintenance throughout the facility.
Maintains and tests the emergency power system to ensure availability of power to all entrances exits fire detection alarms and extinguishing equipment and life support systems.
Maintains all essential equipment (e.g. boiler room equipment nursing unit/medication etc.) in a safe operating condition
Must be able to work day shift (8:00A 5:00P) weekends and on-call as scheduled.
Remains flexible for other duties and special projects assigned.
