Job Summary
Position: Property Maintenance Technician
Location: Tupelo MS
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay Rate: Starting at $15.00 per hour
Schedule: MondayFriday 8:00 AM5:00 PM
Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Property Maintenance Technician to join our team in Tupelo MS. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in property maintenance preferably within apartment complexes or residential housing. While HVAC experience is not required basic knowledge is a plus. Candidates should demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills a solid work history and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs including plumbing electrical carpentry drywall and painting
- Respond promptly and professionally to daily maintenance requests and emergency calls
- Conduct regular property inspections and complete preventive maintenance tasks
- Maintain exterior areas including landscaping and minor structural repairs
- Communicate effectively with property managers and tenants to address maintenance needs
- Keep tools equipment and work areas clean and organized
- Accurately document completed work and materials used
- Follow all safety procedures policies and applicable building codes
- Complete additional duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of property maintenance experience
- Experience working in apartment complexes or residential housing
- Basic HVAC knowledge preferred but not required
- Stable and consistent employment history
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple tasks independently
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and safely use ladders hand tools and power tools
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
Experience & Certification
- Maintenance experience: 1 year (preferred)
- Drivers License: Preferred
