Head of Human Resources – QSR Division

Location: Mumbai (Head Office)

Role Overview

The Head of HR will spearhead the people strategy for a fast-growing QSR organisation with multi-location operations. The role involves developing a scalable HR framework building a high-performance culture ensuring manpower readiness across outlets and strengthening systems across recruitment training compliance and employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic HR Leadership

  • Design and execute HR strategies aligned with QSR business goals.

  • Build a scalable HR setup to support rapid outlet expansion.

  • Act as a strategic partner to senior leadership.

2. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

  • Lead end-to-end hiring for outlet and corporate roles (crew shift leaders outlet managers).

  • Establish strong hiring pipelines through partnerships and referral channels.

  • Forecast manpower needs and maintain optimal staffing levels.

3. Training & Development

  • Oversee onboarding induction and continuous learning programs.

  • Develop skill-based training modules for crew supervisors and managers.

  • Drive management development and succession planning initiatives.

4. Performance Management

  • Define KPIs for outlet teams (service standards hygiene attendance speed of service).

  • Manage appraisal cycles incentive structures and corrective actions.

  • Ensure transparent consistent evaluation across all locations.

5. HR Operations & Compliance

  • Standardise HR SOPs across all outlets.

  • Ensure compliance with labour laws ESI PF Shops & Establishment Act minimum wages and statutory requirements.

  • Oversee payroll attendance leave and shift scheduling systems.

6. Employee Engagement & Culture

  • Improve employee satisfaction and reduce attrition.

  • Build a positive service-oriented workplace culture.

  • Drive recognition programs and strong communication channels between outlets and HO.

7. Industrial Relations & Safety

  • Manage IR matters in collaboration with legal advisors (where required).

  • Ensure safe working conditions hygiene standards and compliance with FSSAI-related training.

8. HR Technology & Automation

  • Implement HRMS systems for workforce management payroll training and performance.

  • Enable digital tracking of staffing attrition training hours and HR analytics.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of QSR/retail operations

  • Expertise in manpower planning for high-volume environments

  • Deep knowledge of statutory compliance

  • Strong leadership and multi-location team management

  • High emotional intelligence and conflict resolution skills

  • Process-driven with strong data orientation

Qualification & Experience

  • MBA in HR or equivalent

  • 15–18 years of HR experience ideally from Startup / QSR / Retail / FMCG sectors

  • Experience managing multi-location teams is essential
