Pro-Rata Salary Range of $83500 Base to $87k Basae (dependent on experience skills and capabilities)

Plus 12% Superannuation and access to Not-for-Profit Salary Packaging up to $15900. (more information provided below).

The Opportunity:

We have a unique opportunity for a Clinical Trials Coordinator to support biomarker-focused research within our Critical CareProgram.

The Clinical Trials Coordinatorroleinvolves coordinating biospecimen collection from sites processing/ sending/receivingtrackingdata integrity ensuring compliance with ethical and regulatory standards andfacilitatingcollaboration between clinical and laboratory teamsacross multiple study sites.It will also involveplanningcoordinatingand implementing research activitiesthatinvolvebiospecimencollection.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

    • Biomarker sample Coordination
    • Assist in the development and execution of project plans timelines and milestones relative to the Biomarker research

    • Coordinate biospecimen collection and processing across participating sites

    • Maintainaccuratebiomarker project documentation including sample library locations logs

    • Developing SOPs that ensuremaintainingbest practices related to biomarker management

    • Liaise with ICU clinicians laboratory staff and external collaborators.

    • Provide regular updates to the Project Managers

    • Establish andmaintaineffective relationships with central laboratories biobanks and specialty testing vendors.

Skills Knowledge and Experience/ Our Successful Candidate

  • Essential

    • Tertiary qualification in a health science or aqualification in research methods or laboratory sciences or research disciplineora combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.

    • Knowledge of critical care workflows and ICU patient populations.

    • Experience applying for ethics and governance approvals for biobank/biomarker studies

    • Experiencewithsingle/multiple sites research projects

    • Sample management services andlogistics

    • Competence in electronic data capture systems ( relevant CTMS)

    • Interest in translational research and biomarker discovery

    • Excellent time management and organisational skills

    • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills

    • Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of products including Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook and the Internet

    • Strong skills in documentation dataaccuracyand quality systemsAbility to work autonomously in small teams and with a wide range of stakeholders

    • Strong focus on attention to detail quality of work and maintenance of excellent records

    • Ability to be flexible and adaptable in the face of changingorganisationalpriorities and ambiguous environments

    • Flexibility to work non-standard hours of work for collaboration and contact with global teams based on requirements of the position

    Desirable

    • Minimum 2 years of relevant post-graduation experience in science research methods laboratory sciences or clinical trials management.

    • Minimum 3 years of sample management experience

    • Good understanding of medical terminology

    • Familiarity withREDCapdata management system or relevant CTMS

    • Experience with biospecimen governance including consent processes and ethical considerations.

    • Knowledge of critical care workflows and ICU patient populations
