Job Summary
The Complex Consumables Proposal Coordinator will be responsible for managing the end-to-end proposal development process for complex consumables ensuring timely submission of high-quality competitive and technically sound proposals to FLSmidths customers.
Job Responsibilities
* Lead the coordination development and submission of comprehensive proposals for complex consumables including spare parts wear parts and service agreements for mining and cement industries.
* Collaborate extensively with sales engineering product management supply chain and legal teams to gather necessary information and ensure proposal accuracy and completeness.
* Interpret customer Request for Proposals (RFPs) Invitations to Bid (ITBs) and other solicitation documents to identify key requirements and develop a compliant proposal strategy.
* Develop and manage proposal schedules ensuring all deadlines are met and stakeholders are informed of progress.
* Write and edit proposal content ensuring clarity conciseness and adherence to FLSmidths brand guidelines and technical standards.
* Coordinate the development of technical descriptions cost estimates commercial terms and legal reviews for inclusion in proposals.
* Facilitate internal review meetings and incorporate feedback from various stakeholders to refine proposal content.
* Maintain a repository of proposal templates standard language and technical content to improve efficiency and consistency.
* Track proposal outcomes analyze win/loss rates and provide insights for continuous improvement of the proposal process.
* Stay informed about industry trends competitor activities and customer needs to enhance proposal effectiveness.
Job Qualifications
* Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical Mining Chemical or related field) or a business-related discipline with a strong technical aptitude.
* 3-5 years of experience in proposal coordination technical writing project management or sales support within an industrial or manufacturing environment preferably in mining or cement.
* Demonstrated experience with complex technical products or services particularly consumables.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish (required).
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint) and experience with CRM or proposal management software preferred.
* Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Knowledge of FLSmidth products and services a plus.
