The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and strategically minded Academic Registrar to lead academic governance quality assurance and compliance across the Higher Education division. This role is pivotal in ensuring the integrity of academic processes the accuracy of student records and adherence to regulatory requirements. As a key advisor to senior leadership and governance committees the Academic Registrar will support excellence in academic operations policy development and institutional performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Academic Governance & Leadership: Lead academic governance processes provide expert advice on policy and standards support compliance with TEQSA HESF ESOS and other regulatory frameworks and contribute to benchmarking and quality assurance initiatives.
  • Records & Data Management: Oversee academic records data accuracy transcripts credit outcomes and regulatory reporting ensuring integrity and compliance with required standards.
  • Academic Support Services: Coordinate academic committees manage assessment and examination processes support academic staff on governance matters facilitate continuous improvement and contribute to strategic academic initiatives.
  • Organisational Contribution: Uphold institutional values support operational efficiency ensure high-quality documentation practices and contribute to College-wide initiatives and compliance obligations.

About You

  • Extensive experience in academic governance higher education compliance and quality assurance within the Australian higher education sector
  • Strong understanding of TEQSA requirements the Higher Education Standards Framework (2021) and the ESOS Framework
  • Advanced skills in academic data management analytics reporting and policy development
  • Proven ability to lead teams manage complex processes and support continuous improvement
  • High-level communication stakeholder engagement and organisational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to foster an inclusive equitable and compliant academic environment
  • Relevant tertiary qualification (postgraduate highly desirable) with significant experience in higher education administration
