POSITION OBJECTIVE: This position is responsible for the maintenance and distribution of athletic uniforms and equipment for the school athletic programs. Works with athletes and trainers in the proper fitting of equipment. Duties include: oversee student sport managers; monitoring of site and equipment set-up; evaluating equipment for purchase and use; and maintaining inventory and related records. |
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: (These duties are a representative sample; position assignments may vary.) |
- Prepares athletic uniforms/equipment for laundering and/or repair.
- Monitor repairs to athletic areas which may include prioritizing and assigning work. Ensuring staff are trained on how to use the following items; scoreboard controllers table microphone wireless microphone football field sound system gymnasium sound system and baseball sound system.
- Ensure all lights are working properly in the gymnasium football field baseball field and issues are reported in a timely manner.
- Maintains inventory of all athletic uniforms and equipment at the end of every season each semester and/or annually.
- Maintains an inventory of equipment and uniforms; identifies and coordinates the repair of equipment and/or uniforms. Coordinates the replacement and/or disposal of equipment and uniforms based on funding.
- Use Register My Athlete (RMA) to track athletic fees uniforms and coordinate uniform returns. Coordinate the replacement and/or disposal of equipment and uniforms.
- Identifies equipment and uniforms required for each athletic team by collaborating with team coaches. Schedules fitting times for students. Prepares and maintains student and/or coach inventory forms.
- Coordinates the preparation of field and/or gym sites for athletic events. Consults Athletic Director on potential rules changes for specific athletic events. Coordinates changes and/or repairs of facilities with internal staff or external contractors.
- Obtains quotes for uniforms and other athletic equipment and inputs quotes and requisitions into I-visions.
- Attend all home sporting events.
- Transport equipment with athletic training staff to and from all away varsity football games camps and events.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: (positions in this class typically require): High School Diploma or G.E.D. and one year of athletic equipment coaching or recreation experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above. Obtain Athletic Equipment Managers Association (AEMA) Certification or complete the AEMA certification exam Athletic Equipment Managers Association within 2-years of employment. |
LICENSING REQUIREMENTS: (positions in this class typically require): Licensing Requirements: Valid Arizona Drivers License. Valid vehicle insurance. Athletic A.E.M.A certification within 2 years of employment Applicants recommended for hire will receive instructions on how to obtain a fingerprint clearance card as a condition of employment.
