About the Role:
Based in London typically 5 days a week with core hours flexible between 8am and 6pm.

The core objective is to develop exceptional products that drive profitable growth across all of our licensed brands.

Responsibilities:
-Design Team
-Buying Team
-Technical Team

-Establish seasonal sales and profit targets along with a three-year plan for every licensed brand.

-Optimise the departmental structure across the buying design and technical teams to best support the current brand mix and business needs.

-Ensure the trend and product direction for each brand is clear and that new contemporary products are being designed for future ranges.

-Provide clear direction to product teams during CAD reviews and sign-offs to ensure continuous growth.

-Manage the relationship between our product team and the brand owners/licensors.

-Define and shape the sourcing strategy for our licensed business.

-Drive the integration and use of AI within the design buying and technical processes.

-Ensure the implementation of relevant Next Group policies within product development such as the Responsible Sourcing Policy.

-Provide specific individual targets and feedback to the team.

New Business
-Actively develop new licensing or own-brand opportunities for Next.
-Lead the negotiation of new license contracts.

Wholesale
-Develop third-party revenue for the licensing division through close collaboration with the wholesale team.

Marketing
-Ensure all brand imagery is of the highest quality created efficiently and remains within budget.
-Work closely with the marketing team to ensure the licensing business is effectively represented.


About You:
Youre a commercially driven product leader with senior-level experience in a fast-paced retail Head Office environment. You bring proven success in managing and inspiring teams confidently making data-led decisions and influencing senior stakeholders. Highly organised proactive and resilient you spot opportunities take intelligent risks and communicate clearly. Your analytical yet creative mindset enterprising approach and strong leadership skills ensure you deliver results and drive your product area forward while embracing change with a positive mindset.
