Are you a skilled Clinical Coder with a passion for developing others Ramsay Health Care is investing in a refreshed forward-thinking trainee education model and we are seeking dedicated Clinical Coding Trainee Educators to join our revitalised National Coding Education Team.
In this role you will play a key part in shaping Australias future coding workforce through Ramsays new national trainee program CodeXcel. You will support trainees new graduates and early-career coders to build strong foundations accelerate their development and thrive in their coding career.

About the Role
As a Clinical Coding Trainee Educator you will:
Deliver training mentoring and structured learning programs for trainee and entry-level coders.
Assist in developing education materials training modules and competency-based assessments.
Support trainees to build knowledge of ICD-10-AM/ACHI/ACS and apply coding standards accurately and consistently.
Provide one-on-one coaching feedback and guidance to foster confidence and coding proficiency.
Participate in coding audits to identify learning needs and customise training plans.
Work closely with the broader education team to strengthen national coding capability and streamline training pathways.
About You
You will bring a supportive learner-focused approach along with:
Minimum 5 years clinical coding experience in a tertiary or secondary hospital;
Completed a Health Information Management Association of Australia (HIMAA) Clinical Coding Course or equivalent
Strong understanding of casemix and Diagnosis Related Groups (DRG);
Demonstrated understanding of anatomy physiology diseases and pathological processes
Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
Demonstrated sound computer skills using the Microsoft Office Suite
Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement activities
Candidates who have completed or are undertaking a recognised Internal and External Clinical Coding Auditor course or equivalent will be desirable.
