Job Summary
A public organisation is seeking an experienced Risk Management Analyst to support a Risk Maturity Assessment project. The role involves conducting assessments analysing risk processes documenting findings and assisting with the development of a maturity analysis aligned to public-sector governance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Project Manager in conducting a comprehensive ERM maturity assessment.
- Evaluate operational and strategic risk processes.
- Analyse the adequacy of risk reporting alignment to strategy and overall ERM practices.
- Assist in assessing oversight structures governance and risk culture.
- Compile supporting documentation research and assessment data.
- Assist in drafting findings improvement recommendations and maturity ratings.
- Engage with stakeholders and participate in report-back sessions.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree / BTech (NQF Level 7) in Internal Auditing Risk Management Accounting or related fields.
- Minimum 4 years of proven Public Sector Risk Management experience.
- Demonstrated experience supporting ERM assessments or related assurance projects.
- Active membership with:
- Institute of Risk Management South Africa (IRMSA) or
- Institute of Internal Auditors South Africa (IIASA)
- Institute of Risk Management South Africa (IRMSA) or
- Strong analytical documentation and communication skills.
Competencies
- Strong understanding of ERM frameworks.
- Knowledge of PFMA Treasury Regulations King IV and IIA Standards.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- High integrity and adherence to confidentiality requirements.
Required Skills:
