Job Summary

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-orientated HR Executive to manage high-volume Third Country National (TCN) work permit applications and act as the primary liaison with Identità. This is a hands-on position for someone who understands the regulatory landscape in Malta and can efficiently coordinate TCN onboarding and compliance processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end TCN application process including new work permit requests renewals and documentation updates.
  • Serve as the key point of contact with Identità to ensure timely and compliant processing of all applications.
  • Maintain accurate records of all immigration documentation and status updates in line with GDPR.
  • Prepare and submit documentation for TCN applications (Single Permit Key Employee Initiative etc.) ensuring completeness and accuracy.
  • Liaise with internal departments and new hires to gather and verify necessary application materials.
  • Monitor expiries and initiate timely renewals or extensions.
  • Support HR with onboarding and orientation for TCN hires.
  • Keep up to date with changing regulations and provide internal updates on policy or process shifts.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in high-volume TCN processing and liaison with Identità or similar government entities in Malta.
  • Minimum 2 / 3 years experience in HR immigration or compliance.
  • Familiarity with Maltese labour laws work permits and TCN employment legislation.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office and HR software systems.

Preferred

  • Fluency in Maltese or additional languages is a plus.
  • Previous experience in industries with large TCN populations (e.g. hospitality construction iGaming).
  • Familiarity with Key Employee Initiative (KEI) EU Blue Card and Family Reunification applications.
