About the Role As
Director of Paediatrics you will provide strategic clinical and operational leadership across paediatric services at the Hospital and the wider region. You will oversee inpatient and outpatient care neonatal services community programs and outreach clinics while working closely with retrieval teams to support critically unwell children.
Your responsibilities will include:- Leading a multidisciplinary paediatric team (Specialists Developmental Paediatrician Registrars Intern)
- Driving service development innovation and high-quality patient care
- Overseeing departmental resources workforce planning and clinical governance
- Providing clinical education and supervision to registrars rural generalist trainees IMGs and medical students
- Engaging with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities to ensure culturally safe care
- Contributing to research safety and quality initiatives and continuous service improvement
This role is ideal for a Paediatrician who enjoys autonomy thrives on clinical variety and values community-centred care. Whats on Offer- Attraction and Retention Allowance (50%)

- FRACP or equivalent specialist qualification recognised in Australia

- Ability to work independently in a regional/remote environment
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
- Experience in teaching supervision and quality improvement
- Commitment to culturally safe healthcare for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families
