About the Role
The Director Urban Renewal and Environment will play a pivotal leadership role in shaping the future of Sydney Olympic Park one of NSWs most significant and evolving urban precincts. You will lead the strategic vision landuse planning and master planning that guide the Parks transformation into a connected sustainable and vibrant urban community.
As SOPAs senior planning lead you will oversee statutory planning development assessments design excellence processes and public domain design to ensure highquality development outcomes aligned with government priorities. You will also lead the Authoritys environmental ecological and remediation functions across the precincts extensive 640hectare footprint managing complex environmental compliance requirements while championing sustainability initiatives such as circular waste strategies climate adaptation and Green Star Community accreditation.

You are a strategic influential and solutionsfocused leader with deep expertise in urban planning. You bring extensive experience navigating complex statutory and strategic planning environments resolving multifaceted planning sustainability and urban design issues and leading highstakes projects with clarity and confidence. Your ability to think critically engage collaboratively and negotiate effectively enables you to deliver quality outcomes in settings that require political awareness and sound judgment.
A collaborative and influential communicator you excel at building trusted relationships across government industry and community stakeholders. You lead with integrity model accountability and inspire high performance in multidisciplinary teams. Youre adept at managing competing priorities guiding complex development and regulatory processes and contributing to major urban renewal outcomes that enhance liveability sustainability and public value.
