Job Summary
Freight Broker Logistics Coordinator
Location: St. Charles MO
Schedule: MondayFriday 7:30 AM 5:00 PM
A well-established asset-based transportation company headquartered in St. Charles MO is seeking a Freight Broker to join its fast-paced and dynamic Brokerage Department. This is a great opportunity for individuals with freight brokerage experience who thrive in a service-driven environment and are looking to grow within the logistics industry.
The company specializes in cross-border logistics solutions across Mexico the U.S. and Canada.
Key Responsibilities:
Match customer freight with qualified carriers
Manage freight and relationships with current customers
Develop and maintain a strong carrier base
Identify and generate new freight opportunities
Dispatch drivers and ensure timely pickups and deliveries
Plan track and trace freight movements to ensure efficiency and customer satisfaction
Qualifications & Skills:
Self-motivated and detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a high-volume environment
Strong communication interpersonal and analytical skills
Familiarity with cold calling and carrier development
Proficient in Microsoft Word Excel Outlook; experience with AS400 preferred
Previous experience in brokerage logistics or sales is required
Existing customer and/or carrier relationships are a plus
