Job Summary

Our client in the FMCG industry is looking for a Key Accounts Executive to join their team.

  • Drive sales performance across major retail partner and distributors in the protein category.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans aligned with company sales objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts ensuring consistent engagement and satisfaction.
  • Identify and onboard new products with a focus on expanding coverage and brand visibility in Northern and Southern Zimbabwe.
  • Monitor SKU performance and recommend interventions for underperforming products.
  • Analyze sales data to generate actionable insights and support decision-making.
  • Collaborate with finance to assist in the collection of outstanding debtor balances.
  • Conduct consistent and regular trade visits route planning and market intelligence gathering.
  • Prepare and present sales reports forecasts and strategic recommendations to management.

Key Skills

  • Strong understanding of perishable product dynamics and cold chain management.
  • Business Review & Presentation: Skilled in developing structured business review documents and confidently presenting insights performance trends and strategic recommendations to key customers and stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical and reporting skills; proficient in interpreting sales trends and KPIs.
  • Effective communicator with ability to influence stakeholders across sales finance and operations.
  • Business development acumen especially in distributor channel expansion.
  • Strategic thinker with operational execution capability.
  • Resilient self-motivated and able to work independently across regions.
  • Fluent in English and Shona (preferred for regional engagement).

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 5 years experience in FMCG sales preferably in protein or perishable categories.
  • Degree in Sales Marketing Business Administration or related field.
  • Valid Class 4 Drivers License (required).
  • Proven track record in key account management and distributor development.
  • Familiarity with Zimbabwes retail and distribution landscape is a strong advantage.
