Key Responsibilities

Lead mentor and develop a team of manufacturing engineers and technicians.
Oversee the design development and implementation of new manufacturing processes and equipment.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production efficiency quality and cost.
Manage engineering projects from conception through completion ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and support new product introductions.
Develop and manage the engineering department's budget and resource allocation.
Ensure all engineering activities comply with safety regulations and quality standards.

Recommended Qualifications

Strong technical background in an engineering discipline (e.g. Mechanical Electrical Industrial) with direct experience in manufacturing operations.
Proven experience leading and managing engineering teams within a production or R&D environment linked to manufacturing.
Demonstrated success in overseeing engineering projects from concept through to successful implementation on the manufacturing floor.
Expertise in applying continuous improvement methodologies (e.g. Lean Six Sigma) to optimize manufacturing processes and product quality.
Solid understanding of manufacturing processes equipment quality systems and safety standards.

Bonus Qualifications

Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt certification
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Experience with advanced manufacturing technologies (e.g. automation robotics IIoT)
Proficiency with manufacturing execution systems (MES) or ERP platforms (e.g. SAP Oracle)
